Gosh.. What's up

What happened to some teachers? Why don't they learn computer and internet for success. some friends of mine are reluctant learning computer. They said that learning computer is only for their children. They don't have much time to learn computer. They are busy to take care of the children at home, to serve husband, to prepare lesson plan for teaching. I am little worried if they do not want to learn computer. So, What should you do as a friend? Do you prefer letting them in the "darkness" to helping them know computer. I have some ideas how to learn computer faster. The ideas are efficient enough for busy teachers. Just spend half hour or one hour a day. Wanna try it?

first thing first, r you are recommended to have a set of computer. However, If you don't have it, it is not problem. You can still rent a computer or use a computer in your computer course . The sooner you sit in the front of this machine, be sure you are brave to turn on it. Just get relax for few seconds to let your computer works. Search directly to the microsoft office progams through the menus of start, programs, and the point matter. Because you start writing your own document, choose microsoft word program and click it. For a moment, the computer provides you the screen of the program. Without considering any tool bars, menu files, or any comment programs surround you, just begin typing your ideas through a keyboard. Don't worry any mistakes you make. You can edit or correct it later as soon as you complete your typing. What will you do if you want to improve your typing. On thing you have to know is how to block the text. The sooner you know blocking the text, try to click any menus of toolbars, upper side of your monitor screen. You can rely on your English to understand the menu help. What you should is just practice and practice writing as often as you can. I am sure you can do it best.
How about accessing an internet? It is a very simple step. just click on the icon of the internet explorer and wait a few second it accesses. That's it. See you again.

How do you feel?

I don't know what to say in this blog because I happened a bad mood with my little friend, a pushy cat. I should have been angry with her for her mistakes stealing my food on the table. But, I am not angry. I try to control myself. I know that this pet is not hungry. My wife fed it this morning. But, she had a bad habbit. Should I kill it? Oh,no. I love it very much.

Teaching Note

D0 you ever teach without a lesson plan? How do you feel? What did your students respond? How the class run? The following is the story of mine when I taught my students withoug a plan.

It is the first time in my life to teach without a lesson plan. I have to teach the class suddenly because my survervisor wanted me to teach at a glance. I have to plan my teaching lesson in my mind in a few minutes. I have to create the methode of my teaching. I should focus the aim of my teaching as well. I am sweat. I am scared. I feel that I am not ready to teach, but I have to.
As a young teacher, I have to follow my feeling. It means that I am teaching what I feel better. I suddenly think that teaching must be fun. It allows my brain works that I must do something to create my classroom live. Do you know what I do at that time? I taught a game. It's a Simon Says game. I created the game and invited all students to stand up. Everybody stood up. I directed them to follow the game and I showed them how to play the game. They understood well. I fell quite happy because they could follow my instruction.

Worksheet is important for students. It does not only guide the students learn a lesson well, but it also helps students learn how to learn. What should you do in writing a student's sheet?

2.Informasi
a.Bentuk teks
Teks report tidak termasuk newspaper report karena newspaper report dimasukan pada news item. Teks report yang dimaksudkan di sini adalah teks yang mendeskrisikan sesuatu sebagaimana adanya. Struktur jenerik dari teks report ini adalah
•Classification
e.g Snakes are reptiles (cool blooded creatures). They belong to the same group as lizards.
•Description of features( in order of important)
e.g A long time ago snakes had two lgs and clows to help him slighter along.
Snakes are not slimy. They are covered in scales which are just bumbs on skin. Their skin is hard and glossy to reduce frinction as the snake slighters along the ground.
b.Tenses
Teks report ini menggunakan simple present tense. Salah satu kegunaan tense ini untuk mengatakan fakta.
e.g: 1. Snakes are reptiles.
2. They belong to the same group as lizard.


7.Tugas dan Langkah Kerja
Discuss with your classmates what the differences between spoken report and written report.
a.Look at this picture, then discuss it with your partner.
b.Listen to a report, then answer the following questions.
•What words will you use to describe a kangaroo?
•How would you describe the front legs?
•The back legs?
•The body?
•What about the tail?
Read the following text, then answer the questions that follow.
A kangaroo is an animal found only in Australia, although it has smaller relative, called a wallaby, which lives on the Australian island of Tasmania and also in New Guinea.
Kangaroos eat grass and plants. They have short front legs, but very long, and very strong back legs and a tail.
Questions:
•What words are used to describe a kangaroo?
•How are the front legs of a kangaroo?
•How are of the back legs of a kangaroo?

c.Listen to a report on a kangaroo again, then compare the language used in it with the language in the text above.

Lesson Plans

Lesson plan is one of important tasks for a teacher before teaching. Lesson plan give a instructional steps, a basic guideline, a hint, or a reference for teacher to deliver his or her teaching in front of the classroom. Dan Glisczinski

Dan Glisczinski is an assistant professor in the UMD Department of Education who teaches Educ 5414 - Utilizing Technology for the Administrative Aspects of Teaching. Dan also teaches block classes in the Department of Education and works some with the graduate program. Dan has worked in schools in the United States and Central America as a high school English teacher, middle school Spanish teacher, and elementary school principal. Dan's current pleasures include the company of his family and time spent on the hills and shores of Lake Superior.

Western Australia's Council of State School Organisations has welcomed the Carpenter Government's $600 million salary package for teachers.

In announcing the initiative yesterday, Education Minister Mark McGowan said it would help retain and attract teachers to the profession by paying elite teachers up to $100,000 a year.

But the State Opposition and the State School Teacher's Union rejected this, saying only a small number of teachers would benefit from the scheme.

Council president Robert Fry says the package, which also provides allowances for teachers in remote areas, is very generous.

"That is one of the biggest problems we have when there is a teacher shortage," he said.

"There has got to be adequate allowances and support to teachers that want to, or are prepared to, move into the rural or remote areas so we see that as a very positive step."
